High-bay store for 1,382 coils

Customer ordered third high-bay store from AMOVA

The coils coming from the hot and cold rolling mills are temporarily stored in the centrally arranged high-bay warehouse. Stacker cranes ensure fast storage and retrieval. The hot-rolled coils are specifically cooled in the warehouse by a special ventilation system in order to minimize the dwell time. Coil stackers take the coils to the downstream annealing furnace and to further transfer stations outside the warehouse. The further transport to the finishing lines is carried out by Automatic Coil Transporters (A.C.T.®).
