Already last year, AMOVA was entrusted by Ningbo Powerway Alloy Material Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of the Ningbo Powerway Group, with the order for the entire works logistics at the Yinzhou location in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang. With this follow-up order for the supply of a packaging line, AMOVA closes the gap between the pre-storage area for slit copper rings and the high-bay warehouse for finished products.
The system consists of a strapping machine for slit copper rings and a final packaging line for the highly sensitive copper material, which is mainly required for the electrical and electronics industry.
In the strapping line, the copper rings are separated, inspected, strapped with plastic band through the eye, wrapped with paper or foil through the eye and then stacked on pallets according to order. The finished stacks are wrapped with stretch film in the subsequent packaging line, provided with lid and cover pallet, strapped and labelled. They are then transported directly to the high-bay warehouse for the dispatch of products.
AMOVA also supplies the level 1 and level 2 automation of the packaging line. The WMS (Warehouse Management System) included in the preliminary order for the logistics system will be extended accordingly for the integration of the new system.
The commissioning of the packaging line is scheduled for spring 2021.
