As a technical project manager he works on interesting forward-looking projects such as port logistics.

„AMOVA has given me the opportunity to realign my career and work on a disruptive and future-oriented technology.“

Daniel Hesse works in the Project Management & Sales Support department where he is responsible for exciting, technically challenging projects.

How did you develop on the job at AMOVA?

I started at AMOVA in 2016 as project manager in the department "Electrics and Automation". My work in this area mainly involved programming systems and site supervision, but also hardware planning and customer support. I was mainly responsible for numerous commissioning projects at customers all over the world. In 2019 I moved to the Project Management & Sales Support department and since then I have been managing and supervising orders in the area of port logistics

Which project do you see as your next big challenge?

Definitely the current port logistics project. In this project we are transferring our proven high-bay warehouse technology to a completely new environment: the port industry. That means we are moving into a completely new industry for us! The technical challenges in this project are very different, especially because environmental influences play a major role and of course have a direct influence on the project during its execution. As the persons responsible for the order handling, we are already involved in the previous sales process and can plan the plant and the timelines in advance and provide input for the calculation. We work closely with other departments and divisions such as purchasing or electrical engineering. I find working across departments and being innovative in a new market simply exciting.
