Pallet conveyor system for hot-rolled coils

Efficient and smooth material flow

AMOVA supplied a pallet conveyor system for a newly built CSP (CSP® Compact Strip Production) plant, which transports the coils from the hot rolling mill to the hot-coil storage area. The mandrel car takes the coils from the reel and transfers them onto the pallet conveyor. During transport, the coils pass through an inspection line where the strips are visually inspected and samples are taken. They also pass through several individual machines that strap, weigh, and mark the coils. Lifting and turning stations allow the transport direction to be flexibly adjusted. The empty pallets are returned to the reel via a parallel transport line.
